Baseball and softball run from early spring into fall around Charlotte, and fields at schools, churches, parks and league complexes take a beating. We build and repair chain link backstops, along with dugout fencing, sideline fence and outfield fence.
A backstop is a tall structure, and it has to stand through thunderstorm gusts with fabric, and sometimes padding or netting, hung on it. Post size, footing depth and bracing are chosen for the height and the design. Wet clay does not hold a shallow footing well, so we do not cut corners below ground.
Tell us the level of play and the space you have. A youth field, a high school field and an adult softball field call for different sizes and layouts. We can match an existing field or work from your league's or school's specifications, and we schedule around the season where we can.
Backstops in Charlotte: common questions
Can you repair a bent or torn backstop?
Yes. We replace damaged fabric, rails and posts. If the frame itself is leaning, we check the footings before deciding on repair or rebuild.
Do you also fence dugouts and outfields?
Yes. We do the whole field: backstop, dugouts, sideline fence, outfield fence and gates.
What size backstop do we need?
It depends on the age group and the field. Give us your league or school specification, or we can measure a field you want to match.
